Software DevelopmentWorking Practice - Implementation

Pilot Implementation
Often a pilot live environment is implemented prior to full application roll-out. Prior to the pilot implementation, agreement will be sought with the customer of the exact timescales i.e. a fixed end date is agreed. The purpose of identifying an actual end date is to avoid a permanent pilot environment!.
Application Roll Out
The stage at which the application will be rolled out to the balance of users.

During the pilot and roll-out phases, Sphere can provide consultancy services in respect of physically completing the actual installation / user set ups and indeed end user education. Clearly as part of the project definition, the use of such services can be agreed.

Sphere offers as part of standard application development contract a warranty and free support to the application environment and information technology department post completion of the pilot activity. At the completion of this stage, Sphere offers full support services.

User Testing
After completion of the application development cycle and internal system/unit testing, the application will be released to key end users to complete initial application testing. During this phase Spheres development resources will be on site with the customers addressing any initial misunderstandings/minor defects. Post completion of the user test and any modifications, the application is ready for pilot implementation
