Project Definition Workshop
A PDW is held for different reasons depending on the stage of the project. A PDW can be held to:

a) Look at different business areas to establish a development project
b) Define the overall aims and objectives of a project
c) Look at the process the development project is dealing with
d) Identify Project Management, Control Procedures and Risks

Specification
During this phase, Sphere will work with the project team to technically specify the application. Review of existing process documents, existing standard documents, following paper trails, specifying work-flow requirements, i.e. chronological review authorisation flows, escalation flows, status views/updates and indeed security will all be defined.

The specification provides a detailed report confirming data structures, fields, reports, workflow etc

No actual development activities will commence until both Sphere and the client have confirmed acceptance to the specification.
